Before applying for a home energy audit subsidy through DEA, please read the following information about how the Growth, Housing and Environment Department and the Strategic Policy, Planning and Performance Department handles personal data

It explains how your information will be used and provides a brief description of your rights under Jersey’s Data Protection Law. By completing an application you are acknowledging that you have read and understand the following:

1) your name, address and contact details will be held on a secure database and used only for the purposes of processing your application and administering the scheme and monitoring the scheme’s success

2) the Government of Jersey would like to contact applicants in the future to monitor the success of the scheme and gather feedback

3) you may request deletion of your contact information at any time. Should you do so, you will not be contacted again

4) the Government of Jersey is the owner of the Energy Performance Certificate resulting from the energy audit and will automatically be sent a copy of this document by Quidos, the Scheme Operator. This document does not contain your contact details. This will be retained against the property’s records by the Growth, Housing and Environment Department and the Strategic Policy, Planning and Performance Department and will be made available to any future owner of the property on request

5) the information contained within the Energy Performance Certificate may be used by the Growth, Housing and Environment Department and the Strategic Policy, Planning and Performance Department for the purposes of research and reporting on energy efficiency and policy development

6) should you apply for the low carbon heating incentive and/or other related schemes in the future, the information contained within the Energy Performance Certificate may be used by the Strategic Policy, Planning and Performance Department and shared with organisations acting as Scheme Administrator and managing the Contractor Quality Scheme.
